Practical Solutions for Resource-Efficient Production in Injection Molding

|

Learn about solutions that will increase resource efficiency and energy-saving production in combination with your highest productivity and product quality.

How can production costs be reduced with rising raw material costs? What are the advantages of looking at new technologies in injection molding and what solutions are available in terms of energy savings, optimal use of time and resources in the production process?

Proven technologies in combination with practical solutions can bring enormous savings in raw materials and resources in today's plastic injection molding. In this presentation, Wittmann will give an insight into solutions that will increase resource efficiency and energy-saving production in combination with your highest productivity and product quality.

Agenda:

  • How can production costs be reduced due to rising material costs?
  • Additional advantages to new process technology
  • Smart technology available for higher production efficiency, energy savings and material reuse
  • Solutions for energy-efficient manufacturing
  • How digitization can help drive sustainability and efficiency

Presenter 1:

Christian Glueck

Product Management

Christian started his career with Wittmann Battenfeld at the Tech Center in Kottingbrunn, Austria in 1985. After 25 years doing customer training for injection molding machines in Austria, he relocated to the Wittmann USA headquarters in Torrington, CT, where he managed the Tech Center and molding machine training. Christian returned to Austria in 2019, and is responsible for product management and training at Wittmann Battenfeld.

Presenter 2:

Richard Heckbert

Senior Plastics Engineer

Richard graduated in 2016 from UMass Lowell with a master's degree in plastics engineering. Starting his career in 2017, Richard began in the Wittmann Academy, where he spent a year extensively training between all three divisions and concluding with a three-month training program in Austria. Richard is responsible for technical support, process engineering and technical training.

Presenter 3:

Marco Moser

Process Engineer

Marco Moser earned his bachelor's degree and master's degree in polymer engineering and science at the University of Leoben. In his master's thesis, he addressed the fields of polymer lightweight design and consolidation of thermoplastic composite materials. In 2016, Mr. Moser started as an application engineer at Wittmann Battenfeld in Austria. He is working as a process engineer and is the product expert for thermoplastic foam molding (Cellmould) and gas injection technology (Airmould).

Presenter 4:

David Sharp

Divisional Manager - Injection Molding Machines

David graduated in 2012 from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He started his career at Wittmann USA as an inside technical sales/engineering intern in the material handling division, moving on to the injection molding machine division after graduation, where he advanced quickly from inside technical sales engineer to production and inside technical sales manager to his most recent leadership role.
