General Motors Co. is giving its Chevrolet Colorado midsize pickup truck more distinct styling for the 2021 model year.

All Colorado variants will include revised front Chevy “bowtie” emblems and embossed “Chevrolet” tailgates in place of the bowtie on the rear of the vehicles.

The 2021 trucks will receive updated center bars, lower fascias and front skid plates. A new “sand dune metallic” exterior color option will be available on the Z71 and ZR2.

The only trim line unveiled thus far is the rugged ZR2, which has a 3.5-inch wider track than its Colorado siblings. The revised off-roader sports a larger, more aggressive grille with flow-through lettering for the center-mounted Chevrolet badging. The bowtie is offset near the driver's side headlight.

Among the performance goodies carried over from the current model are Multimatic shocks, a two-inch suspension lift, electronic locking differentials, a two-speed transfer case, cast-iron control arms and skid plates. The 2021 ZR2 adds standard front tow hooks.

All versions of the Colorado will be built at GM’s factory in Wentzville, Mo. Production is expected to start early next year.
