Chantel Lenard, executive director of U.S. marketing at Ford Motor Co., has quit after 25 years with the carmaker.
Ford says her departure was a personal choice and is not related to any operational problems. Bloomberg News notes that the 47-year-old Lenard often has served as the public spokesperson for Ford’s U.S. marketing strategy.
In April the high-profile executive helped tout a cross-promotion involving the all-new Ford EcoSport small crossover vehicle and the “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” movie that opened last weekend.
Succeeding Lenard will be Andrew Frick, who currently serves as director of sales and service for the company’s Lincoln luxury car brand.
