Graphic Designer

This is an in-office graphic design position that will collaborate directly with our events group, marketing managers, and offsite brand leaders. The primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of reader and sales material supporting Gardner’s B2B brands. Design work involves printed promotional materials, web-based devices, and various materials for offsite trade events. This position requires occasional travel to support efforts at conferences and industry trade shows. Please provide examples of your creative work for trade show display graphics, digital campaigns for online/mobile, and any projects that represent creative efforts that both inform and connect your intended audiences.

WORKING SKILL SETS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Candidates need at least three years of professional experience.
  • Communicate effectively with in-house and off-site work groups.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe CC Suite -specifically: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
  • Functional familiarity with photography and MS Office.
  • Adaptable to execute design within an established brand aesthetic.
  • Good understanding of design for both print and digital mediums.
  • Keeping a mindful eye on graphic trends and typographic principles.

POSITION:

  • Proactively collaborate with project stakeholders inside our event and marketing departments.
  • Deliver work that connects with our audiences using appropriate brand style and message hierarchy.
  • Ensure final work is ready for production in any number of in-house and off-site printing processes.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects from initial job request through the final delivery of production files.
  • Prioritize creative work and productivity needs across multiple projects.
  • Stay aware of influences to graphic design, typographic techniques, design software and visual trends.
