14-Speaker Bose Audio Tunes New Vette

The all-new 2020 mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette will offer a pair of high-end audio systems from Bose Corp.

Bose says the optional, top-end 14-speaker unit is the most powerful and best performing system it’s ever offered in a two-seat sports coupe. The standard unit is a 10-speaker Bose system.

The systems feature an array of speakers, tweeters and woofers throughout the vehicle to create a surround sound experience. The door cavities are used as the woofer bass box to save space.

Bose claims the 14-speaker layout allows listeners to identify individual instruments and the speaker it’s being played through. An upgraded version of Bose’s AudioPilot noise cancellation technology is used to offset road, wind and engine noises.

Chevy has partnered with Bose on audio systems for the Corvette since 1984.
