Autoliv Utah Facility Produces 1 Billionth Airbag Inflator

Autoliv Inc.’s Brigham City, Utah, facility this week produced its one billionth airbag inflator since the facility was opened in 1989.

The plant now builds an average of 1.3 million inflators per week, which Autoliv says makes it the world’s largest producer of airbag inflators. The pyrotechnic devices built at Brigham City are used to inflate airbags for frontal and side impact collisions.
