General Motors Co. CEO Mary Barra tells reporters her meeting on Thursday afternoon with President Donald Trump was “productive and valuable.”

She offered no details, and the White House has not commented.
People briefed on the meeting say Barra hoped to discuss labor talks, the U.S.-China trade war, the fate of four U.S. factories GM plans to close and the Trump administration’s plan to freeze emission and fuel economy standards after 2020.
Trump has frequently criticized GM in tweets that urge it to reopen or sell plants slated for closure and to relocate production in Mexico and China to the U.S.
