BorgWarner Taps Frederic Lissalde as COO
Auburn Hills, Mich.-based BorgWarner Inc. has appointed Frederic Lissalde to be executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1.
Auburn Hills, Mich.-based BorgWarner Inc. has appointed Frederic Lissalde to be executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1.
The COO position has been vacant since James Verrier was promoted from the post to CEO in 2013. Lissalde will report directly to Verrier.
Lissalde joined BorgWarner in 2000 and currently is president and general manager of the company’s turbo systems business. Previous positions included vice president/general manager of the company's transmissions systems division and head of global sales and marketing for the drivetrain system unit. Lissalde also served as managing director of several drivetrain operations in Europe.
Prior to joining BorgWarner, Lissalde held management positions at France’s Valeo SA. He has a master's degrees from and France’s Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts et Metier and HEC Paris.
