Brose Names New Chief of N. American Unit

Coburg, Germany-based Brose Group has appointed John Dunn as president its North American business, effective Aug. 1.

Dunn had been the unit's COO since 2007. His duties in that job included oversight of regional production for the maker of automotive electric drives and mechatronic systems.

Dunn succeeds Jan Kowal, who has been promoted to chairman of the North American unit.

North America accounts for more than one-fifth of Brose's annual $5 billion revenue. The company says that under Kowal's leadership the region's sales zoomed from $90 million in 1999.
