General Motors Co.’s Cadillac unit is launching “Pedestal” editions of the V-Series performance versions of its ATS coupe and CTS sedan.
Production of the Pedestal models, which commemorate the 15th anniversary of Caddy’s V-Series, will be limited to 300 units each. The 2019 vehicles will go on sale next month, with the ATS-V Coupe Pedestal (pictured) priced at $77,000 and the CTS-V Pedestal going for $102,600.
The Pedestal package includes a special-edition Bronze Sand Metallic exterior paint job, black chrome accents and red Brembo brake calipers. Carbon fiber is used for the front splitter, hood vent, rear spoiler and rear diffuser.
Highlighting the interior are leather Recaro front seats with micro-suede inserts to improve grip. Other goodies include carbon fiber dash accents, sunshades for the rear windows, a performance data recorder and a digital rearview mirror.
The current V-Series powertrains are unchanged. The ATS-V Coupe Pedestal is powered by a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 that generates 464 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. The CTS-V Pedestal gets at a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 that makes 640 hp and 630 lb-ft.
Last month, Cadillac announced it would expand its V-Series offerings throughout its lineup, starting next spring with the flagship CT6 large sedan. The upcoming CT4 and CT5 models, which will replace the ATS and CTS, also will include high-performance variants.
