Volumes were mixed among the market’s four largest sellers. August sales by Lada and Renault rose 5% to 30,000 units and 12% to 13,000 units, respectively. Monthly volume dropped 2% to 18,500 vehicles for Kia. Volume was unchanged at 14,000 units for Hyundai.
Light-vehicle sales in Russia through the first eight months of 2019 totaled 1.11 million units, down 2% compared with the same period in 2018. Year-on-year volumes have declined each month since April, according to AEB.
