Convertible, Racing Versions of New Vette on Tap

General Motors Co. will introduce convertible and C8.R racing versions of the all-new Chevrolet Corvette this autumn.

The carmaker has released a teaser video and images of both models. Chevy unveiled the base 2020 Corvette Stingray earlier this month.

First year production of the vehicle, which will arrive at U.S. dealerships later this summer, is nearly sold out, according to Chevy.

The eighth-generation model features a mid-engine layout with a 6.2-liter pushrod V-8 that makes 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. No information has been revealed about the convertible and race variants.
