Ford Motor Co. has named Jeff Lemmer to become its chief information officer on June 1. Lemmer currently is the company’s CEO of information technology.

Ford Motor Co. has named Jeff Lemmer to become its chief information officer on June 1.

Lemmer currently is CEO of information technology, a group that creates automotive applications, runs the company’s IT operations and develops its data centers. He joined Ford in 1987 and has held several IT positions at the company, including its Ford Credit finance arm.

In his new role, Lemmer will report to Marcy Klevorn, president of Mobility at Ford. He will help lead Ford’s transformation into a broadly defined mobility company.
