The Frankfurt auto show, which begins in two weeks, will beef up security after anti-car activists vandalized luxury cars at a local car dealership, Reuters reports.

A group called Rocks in the Gearbox is urging climate activists to stage protests in Frankfurt on Sept. 14, when the show opens to the public. The group describes the semi-annual event as a “propaganda show” that promotes an “outmoded climate- and environment-destroying transportation system.”
Auto show organizers advise there may be longer lines than usual at entry points to the multi-building event. A spokesman tells Reuters, “there may be spontaneous rioting.”
