U.K.-based specialty builder Ginetta Cars Ltd. plans to unveil a new supercar in March at the Geneva auto show.

The company, which has focused on low-volume sports cars and its racing operations, released teaser images of the unnamed supercar this week. Sales are expected to start later this year.

The sleek model will be powered by a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V-8 that is expected to generate 600 hp. Mated with a sequential paddle-shift gearbox, the engine will propel the car to speeds “well beyond” 200 mph, Ginetta claims.

Weighing about 1,080 kg (2,380 lbs), the car features a carbon fiber body and chassis. Ginetta says it will use the vehicle to showcase its engineering expertise.

Founded in 1958 by the Walklett family, Ginetta has produced several niche cars—including the stylish G40, G55 and G60 models earlier this decade—and operates its own race series. British entrepreneur and former race car driver Lawrence Tomlinson purchased the company in 2005.
