Kia Concepts Preview New SUVs

Kia Motors Corp. took the wraps off two SUV/crossover vehicles—the Mohave Masterpiece and SP Signature—at this week’s Seoul auto show.

The vehicles preview upcoming production models and the carmaker’s latest design language, Kia says. Timing and market availability weren’t announced.

The Masterpiece (above) updates the current Mohave nameplate that is sold outside the U.S. The large all-wheel-drive concept features an evolution of Kia’s “Tiger Nose” grille, with a wider design that flows into LED headlamps. Other styling cues include a muscular fascia and hood.

The SP Signature concept (left) is a compact crossover that is expected to provide the basis for an all-new global model.

Styling cues build on the SP concept Kia unveiled at last year’s India auto show in Delhi. Kia says the new concept features advanced driving technology but provided no details.
