McLaren Automotive Ltd. will take the wraps off the all-new GT supercar next week.

Sales are expected to start this autumn with a base price of about $190,000. The GT is the fourth of 18 new and updated vehicles McLaren plans to launch by 2025 under its Track25 initiative.

McLaren claims the GT will set a new benchmark for grand tourers in terms of performance, weight and comfort. The vehicle will get a unique body design separate from the company’s Sports, Super Sports and ultimate Series models. The car also will share unspecified attributes with the upcoming Speedtail hypercar unveiled last October.

Teaser images indicate the GT’s styling is somewhat subdued compared with McLaren’s other supercars. This includes the use of slender horizontal taillights rather than the curvy teardrop design McLaren is known for.

Power is expected to come from McLaren’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-8. A hybrid variant could be added later.
