Mercedes Continues to Outsell Audi, BMW in China

Mercedes sales in the country for January-July totaled 404,100 units. Deliveries last month climbed 13% to 59,400 cars and crossover vehicles.

BMW, which doesn’t break out BMW brand sales separately in China, sold a combined 404,000 BMW and Mini vehicles in China through July, according to AN. it says BMW brand sales in China grew 16% to 51,400 units last month.
Audi’s China sales in the first seven months jumped 27% to 368,100 units. AN estimates the brand’s sales there last month advanced 6% to 56,200 vehicles.
China’s luxury car segment has been one bright spot in China’s shrinking passenger vehicle market. The country’s demand for Cadillac, Lexus and Volvo cars also have grown this year.
