Motor Trend Announces Vehicle-of-the-Year Finalists

Motor Trend has narrowed the list of candidates for its annual vehicle of the year awards to nine models across three categories.

Those vying for Car of the Year honors are the Audi A4 compact car, Jaguar XE sport sedan, Chrysler Pacifica minivan and the all-new Chevrolet Bolt electric car.

The SUV finalists comes down to three European nameplates: the Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLC and Jaguar F-Pace. Just two candidates remain in the pickup truck category: the Honda Ridgeline and Ford’s Super Duty F-250/F-350.

MT will announce the winners next week in conjunction with the Los Angeles auto show.
