Mustang to Get 10-Speed Transmission?

Ford Motor Co. will offer the 10-speed automatic transmission it co-developed with General Motors Co. in its Mustang muscle car starting in the 2018 model year, reports Mustang6g.com.

The independent enthusiast site points to an online catalog used by dealership employees, which shows the 10-speed included as an option for future Mustangs. Ford declined to comment on the new report.

Ford and GM are launching the gearbox, which is designed for rear-wheel-drive architectures, this year in the F-150 pickup truck and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 sports coupe, respectively.
