Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd.’s new supercar will be called the DBS Superleggera, reviving two iconic names from the British marque’s past.
Due in June, the all-new flagship model will replace the Vanquish at the top of Aston Martin’s lineup. Aston Martin says the DBS Superleggera will push the company’s performance and design boundaries to ensure the car is worthy of its moniker.
The new DBS Superleggera two-seater is expected to have a carbon fiber body and share a platform with the current DB11. Power likely will come from an up-rated version of Aston Martin’s 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V-12, which generates 600 hp in the DB11. A hybrid variant also is said to be in the works.
