Volkswagen AG will take the wraps off a new ID-badged electric concept car next month in conjunction with the Los Angeles auto show.

Media reports speculate the car will be an updated version of the ID Vizzion concept that bowed in early 2018. VW says the EV will be unlocked and accessible, suggesting the car is near production-ready.
The vehicle will be part of VW’s five-room “Building an Electric Future” exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. The exhibit also will feature other recent ID concept cars and interactive displays that showcase the design, engineering and manufacturing of VW’s MEB modular EV platform and related technologies.
The carmaker will launch the ID.3 small car, its first electric model under the new EV sub-brand, next year in Europe. The production version was unveiled at last month’s Frankfurt auto show.
