The carmaker is evaluating "several powertrain options,” Nissan's European product planning boss, Peter Bedrosian, tells AutoExpress. This could include mild, conventional and/or plug-in hybrids, as well as an all-electric model. Hyundai Motor Co. and its Kia affiliate have taken similar strategies with the Kona and Niro crossover vehicles, respectively.

The all-new Juke will ride on the CMF-B platform developed by Nissan alliance partner Renault SA, which also carries the Renault Clio and upcoming Captur. The architecture is slightly larger than the one used for the previous Juke (pictured), which AutoExpress notes will allow Nissan to address complaints about the lack of interior space.
The new Juke will continue to feature distinctive styling. But it won’t look like the current model, Nissan global design boss Alfonso Albaisa said last summer. The current Juke, which was introduced in 2010, was discontinued last year in the U.S. but is still available in Europe and other markets.
