Options Add Up on 2020 Corvette

General Motors Co. will offer three trim levels for the all-new mid-engine Corvette Stingray and a host of options that can add more than $20,000 to the sticker prices.

The base 2020 1LT Stingray ($60,000) features Brembo brakes, 8-way power seats, keyless entry and ignition, dual-zone climate control and a 10-speaker Bose audio system. A 12-inch digital instrument cluster and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone compatibility are standard.

The mid-level 2LT ($67,300) adds several driver-assist safety systems, plus a 14-speaker Bose unit, wireless smartphone charger and in-vehicle navigation system with real-time traffic. Other goodies include heated and ventilated seats and steering wheel, color head-up display and Chevy's performance data recorder.

The range-topping 3LT ($72,000) gets upgraded seats with leather upholstery and carbon-fiber trim and suede- and leather-wrapped interior surfaces.

All three models are powered by a 6.2-liter pushrod V-8 mated with a dual-clutch Tremec 8-speed transmission.

The priciest option is the $5,000 Z51 package. This includes Michelin PS4 summer tires, performance exhaust system, a more aggressive suspension, larger brakes, a limited-slip differential, enhanced cooling and a larger spoiler.

The performance exhaust system alone is $1,200. Moving up to an FE4 suspension with magnetic ride control adds $1,900 on top of the Z51 package.

The carbon fiber roof package costs $2,500, while the front lift kit and trident spoke wheel set are $1,500 each. A carbon fiber trim package, which is available only in the 2LT and 3LT, also goes for $1,500.

Seat options include the competition package ($2,000) for the 1LT, and GT2 seats ($1,500) for the 2LT. The performance GT2 seats are standard in the 3LT.

Among the dealer-installed options are a ground effects kit ($4,800), carbon fiber rocker panel extensions ($3,400), carbon fiber grille insert ($2,100) and high-mounted wing spoiler ($1,200).

Buyers can opt—at $1,000 each—for an engine appearance package, open-spoke carbon wheels, a transparent roof or full-length racing stripes. Colored brake calipers and a suede steering wheel each cost $600, while color-trimmed seatbelts add $400.
