Peter Hochholdinger, who has headed production at Tesla Inc. since hiring on in 2016, has left the company, according to the online publication Electrek.

Neither Tesla nor Hochholdinger has commented on his departure. His LinkedIn page continues to list him as vice president of production. But Electrek cites unnamed sources who say the executive is no longer listed in the carmaker’s directory.

Hochholdinger joined Tesla from Audi AG, where he was in charge of production for the brand’s A4 and A5 sedans and Q5 crossover vehicle. One of his primary missions at Tesla was to launch the Model 3 electric sedan, the company first high-volume model.

Tesla hopes to deliver a record 100,000 electric vehicles during the current quarter, up from 63,000 in January-March. The company’s quarterly sales high to date was in last year’s final quarter, when it delivered 90,700 units.
