Volkswagen AG plans to add a sportier version of the just-launched subcompact T-Cross crossover vehicle that features coupe-like styling, Motor.es reports.
The Spanish magazine says the new model could debut by the end of 2020. The vehicle would join the standard T-Cross (below) and a long-wheelbase derivative that is offered in China and Latin America.

The tiny fastback T-Cross will be part of VW’s expanding crossover lineup. Next year the carmaker will introduce a convertible version of the new T-Roc and the compact Tarek—which is slightly smaller than the current Tiguan.
The Jetta-based VS5 is debuting in China, and the all-electric Crozz and Roomzz crossovers will be sold under VW’s new ID sub-brand. A production version of the 2017 Tiguan compact crossover also has been rumored.
