The Other Side: FCA and A Helping Italy

Everyone knows that northern Italy is being ravaged by COVID-19.
What everyone probably doesn’t know is that the capital, of sorts, of the Piedmont region in northern Italy, is Turin.

And Turin is FCA’s European home.
Today FCA Bank and its Leasys subsidiary--which offers an array of mobility services, ranging from car sharing to long-term subscription services—are providing the Italian Red Cross with 300 Fiat and Jeep vehicles and five biocontainment ambulances based on the Fiat Ducato.
The majority of these vehicles will be used by the Italian Red Cross for deliveries of food and medicine to the sick, elderly and otherwise in need of assistance. The ambulances will be, well, ambulances.

As Francesco Rocca, President of the Italian Red Cross, put it, “Thanks to the generous donation by FCA Bank and its Leasys subsidiary, we will be able to enhance our services and to be closer to the people that are in greater need of support at this time.
“The elderly, the immunocompromised and all those who cannot go out to shop need someone who can do it for them. That’s what the Red Cross volunteers are for. That’s why there is Un’Italia che Aiuta.
Which means “A Helping Italy.”
