Steelcase Provides Instructions for Masks and Face Shields
PDF instructions, cutting patterns and even YouTube videos to get you going
We’ll use the fact that Ford CEO Jim Hackett had spent 30 years at Steelcase as an excuse to write about what the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based producer of professional office equipment is doing to combat COVID-19:
In addition to using its plants, model shop and (legendary) innovation center to develop and produce masks, facial shields, and desktop and floor-mounted social screens; and in addition to collaborating with other companies to share best practices so that the production of critically important products can be engineered and manufactured for doctors, nurses and hospital personnel, it is calling on apparel makers, furniture manufacturers, and all others with access to a sewing machine and other equipment, to produce masks and face shields.
